ARTS 360
ARTS 360 is an arts education initiative designed to integrate the performing arts into early childhood learning. By bringing live performance and arts-integrated instruction directly into Title I schools, the program ensures that children can experience the transformative power of the arts, regardless of financial or transportation barriers.
Through a partnership with Ballet Folklórico Quetzalli-AZ, students explore regional Mexican dance while discovering how movement and music preserve history, celebrate heritage, and express cultural identity. The program advances both arts education and literacy, with each classroom receiving a curriculum guide featuring activities that connect the performance to character study, storytelling, and cultural vocabulary.
The mobile program engages students, teachers, and families through interactive dance and music activities that build rhythm, motor skills, creativity, confidence, and self-expression. ARTS 360 culminates in a live performance by professional dancers, providing students with an inspiring opportunity to see the art form they have explored brought to life.
Learning continues beyond the performance. Each participating school receives a curriculum guide and a copy of Danza! by Duncan Tonatiuh. Celebrating Mexican heritage, art, and the power of dance, Danza! provides an engaging resource for continued classroom exploration while reinforcing themes of culture, storytelling, and artistic expression.
The Herberger Theater is committed to sustaining its SPARK (Strengthening Potential through Arts, Resilience, & Knowledge) youth education programs, designed to give Arizona children opportunities to excel, learn and heal through their experience with the arts. Learn more.
