The Herberger Theater Center depends on volunteers to staff all performances and assist with daily operational functions.
Ushers in the familiar black and white outfits are smiling, helpful individuals who welcome patrons to the theater, take their tickets, help them find their seats, provide them with accessible hearing devices and assist with emergency procedures if required.
Volunteering is a great activity for friends and families! Couples and friends often volunteer together. Individuals age 12 to 15 may volunteer, if accompanied by a legal guardian or mentor.
Volunteer usher training is required for all new volunteers. Training is online and at your own pace. In your training you’ll learn how to receive free parking for the shifts that you work. We hope that you will join our Volunteer Family and that we will see you at the theater soon!
You can apply to be an usher online. Click here for volunteer usher application.
An orientation is required for all new volunteers. As well as usher training, you’ll learn how to receive free parking for the shifts that you work.
