Haunting at the Herberger

October 6, 2023 | A crossover event with Arizona Opera’s Frankenstein and Valley Youth Theatre’s The Addams Family, this is the perfect way to kick off your spooky season! Featuring live music from The Ozzy Experience with Ozzy & Sharon Rebourne, premiering works from Dolls: A Murder Mystery – full premiere October 20 & 21 – presented by CaZo Dance Theatre, a tribute to Tina Turner featuring Charnay Locke as Tina, a tribute to Neil Diamond with Freddy G. as Neil, and live mask making art demo with Ed Kennefick. Grab a drink from our Spotlight Bar, stop by our Art Gallery to check out the new exhibits, and pop over to the kids’ section for fun art activities!

Dia De Los Muertos

November 3, 2023 | Enjoy a cultural presentation by musicians Peter Torsiello and Liliana de León and Friends! “Calaveras Cantantes y Calacas Bailantes” (Singing Skulls and Dancing Skeletons)

The music of Peter Torsiello, Vincenzo Torsiello and Liliana de León of FLOR y PIEDRA brings an exciting interdisciplinary experience of their award winning songs. This performance will be a mix of traditional music, intercultural dance visions, conceptual poetry, spoken word moments, heel work, hand claps, castanets, fan and shawl work movements brought to life with emotive guitar sections, expressive vocals and percussive exclamations that bring an unforgettable experience of a celebration of life for all audiences. Beautiful and happy remembrances of time, togetherness and the journey of life filled with Color, Culture, and Love.

This FREE event will also include a Community Ofrenda altar, Live Art Demonstrations, access to the Spotlight Bar, and activities for children!

Holiday Cheer

December 1, 2023 | T’was a night of holiday fun and festivities on the Herberger Theater Pavilion! Featuring Live R&B Holiday music by the band ADRENALINE, excerpts from The Nutcracker by Convergence Ballet Company, and “T’was the Night Before Christmas” presented by Order Chaos Theater Company, featuring a sneak peek of their upcoming show Claus and Effect: A Holiday Cabaret. The evening will also include art activities for children, drinks at the Spotlight Bar and a free reception for the newest installment in the Herberger Theater Art Gallery!

Featuring live music from DJ AKSHEN as he brings his turntable skills back to the Pavilion Stage! Plenty of fun for the whole family with a community live art project by Metropolitan Arts Institute and interactive art activities for the kids!
